There are two options for the treadmill test - a one mile walk for time or a 12 minute run for distance. Both are equally effective for determining your level of fitness. You and your coach will determine which is best for you. The most important part is to give maximum effort during the test.
In order to do so, you will have a chance to acclimate yourself to the treadmill during a short warm up after which you’ll have time for your heart rate to return to normal before the actual test. Please wear shoes appropriate for walking or running at your hardest and fitness attire. The Club will provide a heart rate monitor for you to wear during the test.
